I figured we could use somewhere that isn't a specific game thread - maybe you just want to make a comment or discuss several different at the same time. Or why not just gaming in general!

Annnnd besides that I'm looking forward to Guild Wars II, Secret World (which I'm pretty sure I'll get a beta invite for) and Ninokuni if they ever release it outside of Japan D:

I also kinda want to play Xenoblade, has anyone played it? We have a Wii, somewhere, but I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle of putting it up just for that.

One of the things I really disliked about oblivion was how wooden and unwieldy the NPCs felt. I never saw an NPC doing something and felt it looked natural. They were never very human and they never really DID anything. My favorite NPCs in that whole game are probably dar'ma and that one maid in skingrad, but she wasnt even that good. Whenever I walked into a house I owned it always felt so lifeless and unlived in, which could be fixed very easily with one or two NPCs going about their business.

So, one of my biggest wishes for skyrim is more likable NPCs. They managed to do a damn fine job of it in new vegas, so they should definetly be able to do it here.

I happened to notice there was no such thing as a thread for Sony and my beloved PlayStation 3.

As this is as a gaming site, I guess it's fitting to have one, especially with what's happening right now with Sony.

Well, as you all probably know, Sony is currently trying to bring PSN back, but because it went down in the first place, Sony promised there would be a "Welcome Back"-package to all PSN-users. Aaaand they've just announced the details of this package.

So, we can pick two games out of the following five;
LittleBigPlanet
Infamous
Wipeout HD/Fury
Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
Dead Nation

Kinda disappointing to be honest, as I own most of them. But I guess I'll try out Wipeout then. And I have yet to try R&C: QfB so I know what to pick when the package is released.

Furthermore, PSP users get to choose 2 games from the following four;
LittleBigPlanet PSP
ModNation PSP
Pursuit Force
Killzone Liberation

Not relevant to me, but it looks like some good games.

Apparantly, the offered games are not the same in Germany. Infamous, Dead Nation, Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation is being switched out with Superstardust HD, Hustle Kings, Everybody's Golf 2 and Buzz Junior Jungle Party.

So now we just need to wait for the Store to come back online. Unfortunately, Sony has yet to give us an ETA on that.

This game is hugely important. Play it.

We're going to want to talk about it.

But, don't. Don't even mention it anywhere until people have played it. Don't give an opinion on it or share details about something that isn't necessarily important to the story. Everything of that nature should be considered spoilers and treated as such in this thread.

We can start relaxing about that in a week or two once the people who've been aching to play have all finished up.

For now, spoiler tags for everything. I would recommend not participating in discussion until you've finished the single player portion of the game. Then, for any co-op related spoilers, mark those separately so we can be sure to avoid unwanted details.

I think the worst thing they did was to let dwarfs be shamans. Lore wise it's just the exact opposite of what they're supposed to be. Not only that, but they didn't open up the druid class for blood elves! Which of course I'm pissed off because if I got to choose I'd have all my chars blood elves, as they're so pretty :'3 So now I can't have a druid. Boo. (And no, I'm not gonna have a stupid troll druid who turns into a bat! Nor will I have a stupid big cow. >.<)
