I'll be in Ishioka.
So I got my placement. I'll be living in an apartment in a town called Ishioka. It's a little under 2 hours from Tokyo, and about an hour from the nearest friend in the country. I'll be commuting by bike every day, and life should be fairly relaxed. The town is pretty small - 50,000 people. I'm teaching at a Junior High School.
So, as of tonight, I won't be on the Internet for at least a week or two, depending on how quickly I can get Internet and/or a phone. If there's any serious problems, I'll try to keep checking my email, see what I can do from there, otherwise, good luck, you all! See you soon!

I got some more information!
My whole life will be within biking reach, which is gonna be sweet. Work from 8 to 4 means that I'll miss most American Internet prime time, but I'll be trying to stay in touch on the weekends. I won't have a smart phone as quickly as i'd like, but I will have Internet pretty much as soon as I move in tomorrow, so I'll be seeing more of you sooner than I thought.
I'll put up some more info later, I've got a lot of news to catch up on!
I hope that great memories and improved knowledge in Japanese will be attained during this trip.

Joshura, I wish you all the best and hope that you'll get settled in quickly and smoothly. :) Even though you've been to Japan before, I bet it will be quite the experience!
