As the title says, what games are you currently playing?

I'm on my 4th playthrough of Tales of Symphonia atm, I'm just gonna get as much GRADE as possible this time, so I can get the 10x EXP for the next playthrough and level up to lv250 and do everything possible in the game. Oh, and I finally got all the stars in Super Mario Galaxy, and I'm now playing as Luigi. Metroid Prime Trilogy has also kept me occupied. I can't wait to buy a PS3 soon so I can borrow all my friends' games lol : D Oh and I've been playing MW2 at my friend's A LOT. I'm lvl 53 in local multiplayer : DDD

Holy crap, 4th? You young

Holy crap, 4th? You young people have too much free time. People say I have a lot of free time when I say I've put 17 hours into ME2 in the past week.

AND THAT'S what I've been playing recently. Mass Effect 2.

Before that, it was Mass Effect 1.

And then before, that Dragon Age.

When I get a chance, I take a dip into Spirit Tracks, which I'll end up beating some day this week, because I'm sick of not having beaten it.

Next on my plate is Bioshock, because Ken Levine is coming to my school in two weeks to give a lecture. I want to be able to talk to him about his game!

By the way, anyone in the New York/tristate area should come to Noncon! It's at my school, Feb 19-21, and is very cheap registration. If you're cool enough, I might even have a place for you to stay.

Yeah. 4th playthrough : D So

Yeah. 4th playthrough : D So far, I've spent a little over 180 hours on this game lol : D It's just so amazing, and I find new stuff I had no idea about on every playthrough.

But yeah... MW2 is epic too. Most of my free time will probably be spent on that when I get a PS3, and that should be quite soon.

And damn you must love Bioware : D I've never played any of their games... maybe I should? : D

It's not that I love Bioware,

It's not that I love Bioware, it's just that Dragon Age showed me how far their choice-based gameplay has come since Baldur's Gate. So now I have a lot to catch up on!

Assasins Creed II

I know many people have already beat this game but it takes me a while, I am trying to enjoy a video game until FF13 comes out. So yah, I'm currently playing AC2 and I love it. I'm almost to the end tho...

I just beat Mass Effect 2.

My next game will probably be Bioshock, because I'm about to have the opportunity to meet its creator. Then, I'll finish up achievements in ME1, then go back to ME2 and do the same. I only have 3 more achievements to get in ME2, but one requires me to beat the game again.

I actually ended up playing a few DS games that were lying around.

Super Princess Peach: Awesome. I get a serious Kirby vibe from it.

FF3/FF4: Not in the mood for shit as deep as this.

Sonic Chronicles: Still trying to get the game to work. I'll probably have to borrow it from a friend!

Borderlands

Anybody played this game yet? I just bought it over the weekend and haven't put it down, it's awesome. Similar to Fallout3, it's first person shooter/RPG, my husband and I were going to play it together but the screen is split down the middle left to right,it made me sick from playing like that, screws with your eyes. I would have rather they had made it like Gears and split it top and bottom. Ugh Oh well, we take turns! ^.^b

Haven't had the chance to sit

Haven't had the chance to sit down with Borderlands, and I doubt I ever will, but it's something I'd like to play.

I'd almost be more interested in Borderlands 2, though. Any original IP has some kinks to work out before it gets truly awesome, and given the high amount of critical praise Borderlands has been getting, something that improves the kinks would be truly awesome.

Of course, if I were to like the sequel, I'd want to go back and play the first game.

Compared to Fallout 3 (which

Compared to Fallout 3 (which is one of my all time favs) I am almost finished with Borderlands and have yet to have a freeze-up, I had many in F3. Haven't noticed too many bad things about it, IMO. I know that several times I would get stuck somewhere in F3 after jumping and would have to restart the game, but I yet to come across this problem in Borderlands. The only thing I would like to see done is perhaps a bigger array of different monsters. But still I understand what your saying.

I don't mean just bugs, but

I don't mean just bugs, but like, everything about the game. For example, Mass Effect 1 was an excellent game, but it had a really poor inventory system. If they had put a little more time into playtesting that, they could have tweaked it into something more manageable. The developers have also stated their plans for the planet exploration/Mako sequences were hampered by time constraints. There could have been more continuous action, etc. Then, Mass Effect 2 addresses these key concerns from the first game directly: they've effectively eliminated the inventory system, and they've relegated the driving sequences to DLC.

I've heard that Borderlands has some issues with co-op where if your character isn't on the same level as your friend, one of you is going to have a very different experience. There's also some reliance on the "Diablo effect" as people like to call it, where progression is motivated less by story and more by advancing your character and getting better weapons. These are issues that don't necessarily turn me away from the game, but they do put it a little lower on my wishlist.

Also, Fallout 3 bugs are insane. I can't believe a game shipped with that many issues.

Yeah Fallout 3 would

Yeah Fallout 3 would seriously piss me off sometimes. And while I was reading your reply I was like "Ooooh, okay now I get it lol". I guess I just buy a game, check it out, if I like it a lot I'll play it all the way through, and then when the second one comes out, I'll enjoy that one even more. That happened with Assassins Creed for me. I have to say the #1 thing I hate about Borderlands is the side by side split screen, totally sucks. I mean it's not like I play on some small ass TV, it cuts both players view waaayy too much.

Random Thought: Who is excited for FF13??!!! Me!!! 12 days and counting whoo hoo! lol

I'm not really all that

I'm not really all that excited for 13, but that's easy for me to say since I haven't completed a numbered FF game since FFV. Then again, it might be pretty awesome.

I have so much on my plate as far as games go, and what's worse, I have a lot of schoolwork, too!

I just beat New Super Mario Bros for the first time, and now I'm going back for all the coins. I drift around games on my DS, mostly because I'm afraid to sit down with Spirit Tracks and finally finish it. I love it and all, but once I finish it, this happy sense of "there's a Zelda I haven't seen the end of yet," will go away. And, having put it on hold so long (after my DS froze, losing 2 hours of gameplay), it seems like that absurd feeling is somehow valuable. Then, again, I'll play it in a week or two.

Things I've also been playing on DS are Mario 64, Super Princess Peach, the new Ace Attorney game, and as always, Kirby Super Star Ultra keeps bringing me back. I have 3 files on there with everything completed (except that really hard helper arena at the end :(

Other big games I want to finish are:
Baldur's Gate
Mass Effect 1 - 3rd playthrough, for completing the achievement load.
Mass Effect 2 - 2nd playthrough, also for completing the achievements.
Dragon Age: Origins: 2nd playthrough, mostly for achievements, but also to see the opposite outcomes of each key decision. Would need a 3rd playthrough to get allll the achievements.
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
Splosion Man
Half-Life 1

...there's a lot of stuff, and the Pokemon remakes haven't even come out yet. I'll play that a lot once they do.

You should all play Robot Unicorn Attack, though. It's amazing.

I am determined to make my wish come true.

I started playing wow again a couple of days ago and that's pretty cool. Im trying to make enough gold to where I wont have to worry about it at all when the next expansion comes out.

I finally bought Dragon Age Origins.

I am currently playing that, but it will go on the back burner as soon as FF13 comes out. I hope to Buddha its better then 12, because IMO 12 sucked really bad. And of course the 14, we are all awaiting that one. :)

PS: Borderlands was good fun, but I was not happy with the ending. I am not the kind of person that is going to play a game several times through to get more storyline, it becomes redundant and annoying (exceptomotomegameslol). But that's just my opinion. I'm old and I want to play a game through ONE time and get a decent ending and be done. It's a rare video game that I will play again and again examples: FF10/Tales of Vesperia/Fallout3. ^.^b Okay I'm done now. lol
