The idea is that you can ask any question about the circumstances of this story with a yes or no answer. The goal is to figure out what happened.

A man walks into a restaurant and orders Albatross. He takes one bite, goes outside and kills himself. Why?

Things ascertained so far:

The albatross:
The albatross was just a piece of albatross meat, nothing special about it, cooked and served ordinarily (not cold).
He didn't kill himself because he knew he'd never eat anything better.
The albatross he eats is not a specific albatross.
The wife didn't have an albatross for a pet.
Eating the Albatross reminded him of some food he had eaten before.
Eating the albatross leads him to a sudden realization.
He was depressed when he went into the restaurant, and more depressed after eating the albatross.

The wife:
His wife died recently.
Her death wasn't an accident, but she wasn't murdered, and she wasn't hit by any objects. Her death was unintentional.
He was somewhere far away, with his wife, before he was at this restaurant, which he had probably never been to before.
Something about the albatross and his wife are connected to something that happened when they were far away.
When they were far away, they weren't on vacation (not any more, at least)

The man:
He killed himself with a gun, on purpose.
He was alone, and he wasn't about to die anyway.
He wasn't a vegetarian and there's no stigma towards eating albatross.
He loved his beautiful wife, and he wasn't gay.
