Them user titles
So I've decided on a list of user titles to use here. It's pretty bitchin', actually.
0 - Newcomer
10 - Pilgrim
50 - Resident
100 - Recruit
110 - Intern
150 - Apprentice
250 - Journeyman
400 - Expert
500 - Teacher
600 - Professor
750 - Ascetic
900 - Apprentice sage
1200 - Acolyte sage
1500 - Sage
2000 - Grand sage
3000 - Elder sage
4000 - Ancient sage
5000 - Legend
These post counts are not actually displayed, because I believe they encourage segregation of new from old members, and over-posting... BUT... the titles are there for fun, and to give you something to vaguely show people how awesome at posting you are.
In thinking of them, I imagined the site as a literal island, much like the one in the title banner. People come here because they think it might have some cool shit, and if they stick around long enough, they've established themselves as people seeking something meaningful... a la pilgrims. Then, stay longer, you find a house (resident), then look for a job (recruit), learn that job, (intern, apprentice), then finally start making money at it (journeyman). You get better and better (expert), until you can teach (teacher, professor), and then you're at the pinnacle of your field. At that point, there's only self-betterment to accomplish, so you start to shed the fluff of your life (ascetic), and join with others who have already started on that path (apprentice sage, acolyte sage). Then you gain your own merit as a person of meaningful knowledge, and advance through those levels over time (Sage, Grand Sage, Elder Sage, Ancient Sage). Finally, anyone who gets to 5000 points is awesome in my book, so you can be a "Legend." Or, I'll change your title to whatever you want it to be.
Basically, these are just here for fun. So, have fun with them!
I'm shooting for Legend. By tomorrow. I found a script.

Professor Mashira P.H.D. (Awesomeology) summa cum laude.
You seem to post a lot more than me. For some reason, I find myself surprised, though I shouldn't be.
