Like, when he was cornered by WB he almost shat his pants. All other Ds have never backed down in a tight situation.
It could just be his aspiration for greatness. Whitebeard for instance didnt really want to become pirate king or amass a great fortune whilst luffe and kurohige want nothing more than to have the title of pirate king. Im not really sure about saul though,he's always been the odd one in the bunch.....maybe he secretly wanted to be Fleet admiral or something,iunno. This is all just a theory and not what I really believe by the way.

It's been way too long since i've seen new dialog from franky or brook. It's tearing me up inside!
We are sort of lacking for comedy relief lately, only getting the occasional quip from Buggy.
The crew would definitely alleviate the really tense situation here, but I can't imagine Zoro waiting on the sub while Mihawk fights above... even if he's half-dead.

I read this in the company of some other One Piece fans, and at a certain point, I broke my silence with "Oh, wow. Oh my." They knew exactly what page I was on.
Amazing chapter. Shanks' timely arrival was........nothing short of pure awesome. And now it's pretty obvious akainu is an ass.

Kuma is probably dead, but I'm sure he'll be back in traditional shounen fashion. Someone on the crew who realizes he saved them will be like "you saved us, blah blah blah, where's your honor?" and he'll shounen himself out somehow, but WILL ULTIMATELY die or something.
Oars Jr. better fucking be dead. He's too big.
Jimbei might stick around until they hit Fishman Island, but I'm certain he won't stick around.
The question I want to ask is: Where will the next chapter pick up? Time skip? Crew update? General reactions to the war around the world? (like when they get their bounties and show what their friends around the world are up to).
I'm personally more inclined to expect a gradual continuation, just based on what we've had thusfar. It would be really interesting to see the timeskip happen now, though.
i hate time skips and i hope it never happens D:<

I'm hoping against a time skip but I could see how one could be executed now. If he does do one I hope it's just to skip the trip to the shadabongie archipelago and maybe some recovering time for luffy.
I think oars JR. is dead, he's had all the character development he would've probably ever gotten.
Kuma is probably going to have some small role when Dr.Vegapunk shows up.
I'm curious if death is going to be more present in one piece from now on.

I think that since he's pretty cunning and knows alot about the world. He added the D to his name himself to spread fear in those WG leaders.
