I'm getting it for sure! Not because I'm a Nintendo fanboy, but because I'm a hardcore Nintendo fanboy :P

I'm really not sure at this point.

I really want Ocarina of Time, but I also really want money. I'll probably get one at some point, but I would really need to be back in a portable gaming mood to consider it.

Well the release line-up is rather pale if u ask me. Its between Asphalt or Street Fighter. And I already have 2 copies of Street Fighter.

I find it very likely that I'll get one at launch. The only thing is, if I wait a year, they'll probably have some pretty cool limited edition colors that come out.

I'm still a bit upset that I don't have a Zelda DS lite. What really bothers me though is that people can still repair them, I just can't buy one. I the only advantage would be the ability to play GameBoy Advanced games now though. And since there's going to be a virtual console on the 3DS, that's not going to be such an advantage for anything but save data you may already have.

And aside from the launch titles, there's going to be a new Mario Kart, and a Megaman Legends 3, as well as some other cool titles that I don't remember, but did catch my eye.

Well games like Resident Evil Mercenaries and Revelations, OOT 3D, New Mario, new Mario Kart. The only thing that bugs me is that they wont have any game I really want on day one.

anyone know if you can play normal ds games on the 3ds? *thoughtful*

Yes! You can. But, you can't play GBA games on it. There will be a virtual console for GB and GBC games, with some potential for GBA games down the line.

edit, It would seem you have to register each other at the same time. Or at least that is what I assume the last 5 minutes of "Please wait..." before I cancelled it means.

that's weird, didn't happen to me. I just registered you and it's working fine. Just says that you haven't added me yet.

OK, I've had the 3ds for he better part of a week now, I got through OoT this morning, and started master quest. So far I've only gotten to the slingshot, but this is my judgement so far:

Spoiler: Highlight to view

First of all, the port of the original game was beautiful. Much is essentially unchanged (as in just updated for the better graphics hardware), but there were improvements to almost every minor annoying detail from the original game. For instance, I never quite got the hang of the climbing plant outside Hyrule Castle, where you talk to Malon to get the chicken. Now there's no problem. And as you've beaten Ganondorf and he falls to the floor, his cape doesn't fall THROUGH him.

Oh, and the sage-made bridge got quite the update as well.

Anyways, my impression of MQ so far is that the mirrored world is a better idea than I thought at first. Even though I know where to go to get everything, and I recognize it all, it still lacks the sense of familiarity which in any game would make a ~10th playthrough feel like a chore from time to time. I even took a few wrong turns while navigating kokiri forest. Also, this is, as far as I can tell, NOT the MQ that was released for game cube.

Much to look forward top then. I've on just entered Hyrule for the first time. I think I am what would be described as either a casual, very casual, or social gamer. Even if I love a game, I have trouble keeping interest when playing alone. The only time I've actually completed OoT was with two TVs and systems while my brother played together with me.

You'll have to explain what you're asking there... I can be quite foolish and in the dark, most of the time.

y no adobe flash on 3DS browser with which to watch youtube videos stel? y no adobe flash?

Probably because flash sucks more battery life than the 3D already does. And I sure don't want to be troubleshooting why videos on youtube are running slow, or glitchy.

Being slow and glitchy never stopped nintendo before.

I'm really not one to complain to. Since I have no input whatsoever. And I didn't think the system needed to have a browser at all.

But I like complaining to you. It would be nice to be able to play flash games though.

I had a chance to play Starfox 64 3D on my plane ride back, because the guy I sat next to was fucking awesome. He pulled out his 3DS and I asked if he had any good games because I was wanting some recommendations for what to buy. We got to talking and he said he hadnt played any of the new pokemon games, so I pulled out my 3DS and gave him pokemon white to play, and he in return let me play the copy of starfox he had just gotten for his birthday the previous week.

I will probably be buying it soon.
