Naruto discussion, pretty much the same deal as the bleach one. Mostly manga oriented, but if anyone only watches the anime we'll use spoiler tags.
Personally, im enjoying the latest arc in the manga, it has a lot of the stuff I liked about naruto before it became all about how much of a bitch sasuke is and how annoying naruto is about how much of a bitch sasuke is.
Mmmh, Naruto does do action pretty well when it's not JUST naruto doing shit. He's not terribly exciting to watch fight someone because you can pretty much tell exactly where things are going, but the side characters are fun most of the time.
Yah that's true. I'm sick of the ''omg a new enemy who is more powerful than anyone i've seen before! oh what the hell, i'll just finish him off with rasengan...''-thing
Shikimaru is always fun to watch fight someone stupidly stronger than him. Im very anxiously awaiting Rock Lee to kick some ass.

i've actually never really disliked Naruto... the only thing i hated about it was the huge amount of fillers... all of which are completely boring~
as i've said before, i'm a sucker for the shounen formula so i've been pretty much enjoying reading the manga...
naruto has some awesome side characters too... shikamaru and lee as you said, but i also dig neji a lot...
Something about the way Sasuke turned evil, and Naruto just HAD to save his friend despite the fact he hardly knew him. It all seemed very hokey the way they handled it, and the angst was practically tangible a few times there. I've never really liked Naruto, Sasuke, or Sakura, but I really cannot read one more chapter where Naruto is arguing with Sakura about saving Sasuke and how super important his friends are to him because he has a fox inside him and blah blah blah.
the greatest characters in naruto are definitely the supporting characters... i like that Naruto has found a new goal of "ending the cycle of hatred" and like saving the ninja world and stuff...
anyone think naruto is getting close to its ending?
Yea, I think it is. With the revelation of whatshisface as being the guy behind pretty much everything ever it seems like the series wont have much to stand on after he's gone. And I doubt he'll withdraw from this attack, this seems like a pretty big 'all or nothing' gamble on both sides.
Naruto and Sasuke will probably also have a final confrontation of sorts during this arc. I'm wondering if Naruto will manage to end it peacefully or if one will have to die, though i'm leaning towards the former. Itachi may influence Sasuke's decision now that he's back, although he said he'd leave it to Sasuke's friends.
Sasuke is pretty much a third party in this war. He just wanna see the world burn right now.
Im thinking the last, or second to last, fight in this will be Sasuke Vs. ninetailed Naruto. Thematically it has to happen near the end when shit is getting real. Unless Sasuke takes over after Madara dies and then runs away to try all over again, thus extending Naruto for 400 more chapters.

Seeing ninjas fight with cool techniques. Im so sick of seeing the same shit over and over again in naruto. And good side characters.

So, who gets the spotlight next? My money is on Naruto for a few chapters doing whatever, or maybe sakura, and then back to someone cool.
I'd say we get to see either some eyebrows or something from team Akamaru. However you may be right that there will be some Naruto before that.
Im expecting someone more out of left field, like Kiba, or the bug guy.

But yeah, I'd actually like to see some more Shino... he's pretty cool too~

How about that? Madara wasn't really Madara. And if Tobi isn't Madara, who is he? My guess is Obito based on the one eye missing and similarity between Tobi's Mangekyo Sharingan and Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan.
What would Obito have against Konoha? I'm going for Madara's brother. But yeah, I didn't think that manga could mess with my head like that again. Like it did by killing off Asuma and Jiraya. And Itachi's whole story. Damn, this is the reason I read it.
Well, that was an interesting plot twist :o really unexpected... we'll have to see how this turns out
Im supporting Obito as well, since that's probably the most shonen option.
An evil Naruto clone could also be an option. "Once a kagebunshin escaped... It somehow got Sharingan and then it set out to destroy the world."
The risk of that happening is probably why kagebunshin no jutsu was a secret technique.
I'm pretty sure Tobi had 2 sharingans until he used Izanagi vs Konan.

Betcha 20$ that rock is an illusion that is so real anyone who gets hit by it actually dies.
They should hire me to write for naruto, I could definitely write a weeks worth of cliches into it in a day.
Yeah I like the current arc more than any arc in a long, long time. I like my Naruto with extra action and less angst :P
