Mass Effect Discussion
Howdy y'all.
So Mass Effect 2 just came out, and I've just recently jumped on that whole bandwagon. Here is a place for players of the games to have a nice chat.
If you choose to talk about spoilers, be specific about the contents of your tags. For example, if you want to talk about Virmire in Mass Effect 1, say "spoilers for ME1, virmire," then plop down your spoiler tag. Otherwise, speak in general terms, and avoid any mention of "death" in relation to any specific character.
SO HOW BOUT THAT MASS EFFECT 2, HUH? No more Mako, more useful biotic abilities. Shit, man, this is a good game. It might just be my favorite game ever.
Just finished Mass effect 2. Great game, very glad I played it. The choices made in the first game carried over seamlessly.

That's one of my new favorite video game moments. Im gonna go replay Mass effect one and two now.
I also just beat ME2. I think I'll wait a bit to replay, though. I only have 3 achievements left to get, but I think I'll go for the ME1 achievements first. I'm thinking infiltrator will make everything a different experience, anyway.
don't click unless you've beaten ME2:
My head wants to explode at the continuity of decisions throughout this trilogy. There's so much you can do, so many decisions you can have made that seem like they're the right thing to do, but could easily have not been.
I killed all the heretic geth, because I was feeling all righteous, but then what if we go up to the Reapers in ME3 and they're like HAH. You don't have a full geth army! Now we will crush you!
Shit, I'm so nervous about 3.
Anyone played with the Kasumi DLC yet?
I downloaded it, haven't gotten to it yet.
My friend did though, and he said she doesn't have real dialog, like Zaeed, though she does have more to say. He liked the missions, too I guess.
Mass effect movie rights have been bought by legendary, in case anyone hadn't heard.

that picture is beautiful.
also, i believe the mass effect movie would be about the first contact war, with main characters jon grissom, david anderson, and ashley's grandfather!
I'm gonna be playing the overlord DLC in a little bit so if anyone wants i'll write up a summary in here. It'll probably be pretty bare bones because I dont want to spoil anything and I suck at writing.
i started playing it two days ago, but I had just come off of red faction, so it was difficult for me to work the controls.
What what I saw, it just seems like an excuse to use your new DLC weapons and shit. The arc reactor is particularly effective against geth.
As far as story, I can't say much without finishing it, but the setup and environments are rather well done.
Hokay, i'm starting a new game from ME1 to celebrate the fact I now own both mass effects...LEGALLY! Any sidequests I should go out of my way to do or should I just power through ME1 into ME2?
Do all of them!
Or, do at least the Admiral Kahoku missions, which include a discoverable thing near where you find Liara. Then, there's an asari diplomat in the Citadel bar who wants you to track down her sister - that one's really imporant.
I think the keeper quest is pretty interesting, as is the Consort. Oh, and the reporter - you gotta be sure you talk to the reporters.
The only ones I havent done previously are the admiral kahoku missions and I dont think I ever finished the one with the diplomat. But if i'm gonna do one of 'em I may as well do most of 'em.
For some reason, I recall you saying that you hadn't carried over your save last time.
If that's the case, you'll want to be doubly sure you do a lot of them.
I deleted all of my saves. I feel like this shepherd should start off on a clean non-pirate themed slate.
Shadow broker was very much worth 10$.
I'll try to write something more detailed, but it was very very good.
I'm finally playing ME2 and loving it. Not as much as DA, but close. I <3 Garrus haha!
Give it some time, you'll grow to love it more!
HOHOHO. Maybe.

SW: TOR isn't even out yet, and they're already considering a Mass Effect MMO... slow down guys~
That's been a rumor for a few months, but I have high hopes. I wont play it unless I can be a Krogan or Salarian though.
it seems that they have a lot up their sleeve though, considering the sentence, "The game wouldn't come until after BioWare's other releases, including some projects that haven't been revealed."
I'd love to hear what Bioware still has in store for us that they haven't revealed.
Probably another DA game and a new franchise if I had to guess. Mass effect would probably make a pretty good MMO depending on what they do with the story in ME3. If there are still reapers around those'd make pretty cool bosses.
They've mentioned not forgetting Jade Empire recently.
Oh, that'd be awesome. I'd love a new Jade Empire game.
so, it has been confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will have multiplayer... good or bad?
personally, i'm not interested in it, and i'd much rather have that they focused all they could on the single-player experience...
http://kotaku.com/5848167/mass-effect-3-has-multiplayer-says-cover-of-pc...
Well, as long as the solo is soild all by itself its okay. But multiplayer should never feel like a must... unless its actually a mp game xD;
I'm still orz'ing how I can't play ME1 on school lappy or big lappy...
school lappy cause it doesn't have official support for Intel chipset (gayest thing i've ever heard) and big lappy cause it kind of freezes after the "press any key" planet thingy :V
*lé whine*
Multiplayer could be nice, though im not too excited about it.
The map thing could be a crack problem. Where did you get ME?
I've tried both DL'ed and bought it. And yeah, quite sure we've tried cracking it... o.< unsure of what crack you mean thou.
Tried dling "bring down the sky" DLC and install it and applyed the 1.02 patch~
I was having the same problem with a few ME cracks, but when I bought it it cleared up.

People sure are hyping ME2 up! So far ME1 is about what I expected, nothing amazing but pretty fun.
