So ladies, I don't read much but like my Korean Dramas I love Shojo Manga and reverse-harem mangas.

Currently My Fav's are:
Vampire Knight
Heart No Kuni No Alice
Barajou No Kiss
Faster than a Kiss

These are currently the ones I pay close attention to. What are your favorites?
If you haven't read any of the ones I have and are interested in further plot explanations, let me know, I will share. ^.^v

hmmm... i guess it's not necessarily shoujo. It had been described as shoujo to me in the past, though!

What is shoujo and not can actually be quite fuzzy sometimes. I would guess that Yotsuba! actually falls into the category of seinen though, seeing how Chii's sweet home apparently is seinen (say what?). Then again, who actually sets what category what should go into? '~'

As for one of my fave shoujos, I don't know about the manga since I'm mostly an anime watcher, but I think its Kimi ni todoke. It's such a feel-good-anime and a bit of a "emotional rollercoaster" (maybe it's just for me XD; )

Another would probably be Honey & clover, even though that is josei and not shoujo '3'

Wow, I never thought I'd be able to comment anything in this thread.... (I'm a newbfag ;~;)

But damn! How the heck is Chii's sweet home a seinen?

Ahhh! Gross Kij!

I always thought Shoujo was for Girls and Shonin was for boys. Although like Naj said the line can be fuzzy. I think the only Manga I like that is neither (I think) is FairyTale.

And another good Shoujo is Sand Chronicles-very emotional, but interesting.
And I've read Honey and Clover-not a big fan of how little the girl looks, I mean she looks like she's freaking 5 and these guys who are 5 ft taller than her are in love with her. Kinda creepy. lol

Shoujo literally means young girl, shounen literally means young boy. So yes, there's manga directed at young girls (Tokyo Mewmew, Sailor Moon, D.N.Angel etc); there's manga directed at young boys (Pokemon, Naruto, One Piece). Then there's Seinen (lit. young man) which would be more mature stuff (either nudity or violence or drama or w/e but mostly a mix) like Elfen Lied, 20th Century Boys, Dokuro-chan, Akira etc. Josei (lit. ladies) is the equivalent - stuff like Nodame Cantabile, Nana, Paradise Kiss etc.

And Fairy Tale is as shounen as can be ^^

I liked Nodame Cantabile. Maybe I'm just a classical freak, though...

Could be, but I'd like to say that Nodame cantabile is something everyone can watch. "restraining" it to josei would be wrong, cause, it's just simply wonderful XD; I think I'm gonna try make jokerit watch it >:3

Haha awww bless yous are so adorable <3 And ofc but I mean who cares about genres anyway? ^^ I watch everything from Chii to hentai, from OP to Nodame and whatnot. I don't see any reason to not watch something just because it's not within my normal genre. ^^

Akuma- I am right there with you. I remember back in my teenage years 92'-97'- I went to the Anime Expo every year, I watched as much Anime as I could get my hands on. But now that I'm older-I'm pickier, don't have as much time, and I'm not really satisfied with a lot that I see out. So yeah I understand.

lol aside from random BL and yaoi stuff i dont read manga anymore and one piece is the only anime ive been watching. actually one piece has kind of consumed my life. i may have a problem.

one piece and problem dont belong in the same paragraph, unless you're talking about how much of a problem it is you cant be watching one piece at any given time.

aaaand as is standard practice on forums, be sure to not acknowledge bots in the future so we don't have confusing conversations like this after they've been dealt with :D
