This website is a general interest blog, centered around the personal interests of its authors, predominantly video games, flavored by a strong respect for the Zelda series. Other covered interests include anime and manga (generally shounen), Western and web comics, Japan, technology and web development, movies, pen and paper RPGs, cartoons, and basically anything that's pretty cool.

The primary author of this site is myself, Joshua Whitman. I have invited several of my friends to write articles as well, whenever they feel so inclined. I personally will be contributing to the site at least once daily, though that habit could easily fluctuate in the future. The others will post whenever they feel like it!

The intended purpose of this site is to provide a platform for commentary on subjects which may go under-discussed on another site. I am basically trying to bring more attention to things which interest me specifically, while also hoping to pique the interests of anyone willing to sit through a paragraph of my writing. At times I will try to bring timely news to the front page, though I can't say it will ever be the first place you can see it.

The community features of this site stand to provide a place for regular readers to chat with one another about whatever subjects they choose. My goal is to provide a small community with fodder for daily discussion.

As far as the technical aspects of this site are concerned, I have enlisted the aid of a content management system called Drupal to provide Koholint readers with the best possible experience. I have extended the basic functionality of the CMS through a lot of modules, which may or may not always work well together, so if you should happen across some error during your time at the site, I would appreciate knowing about it.
